One of the new "project" channels will have to be build a commune, metaphorically.

The commune will have to raise chickens.

For a household of 2 people, 4 chickens is a manageable amount of work.

• Secure a location safe from predators
• Create a shed-sized structure
• Routinely provide food and water
• Semi-routinely clean the structure
• Collect eggs on a regular basis.

💡 for a small-scale operation, one would generally buy chicks rather than have a rooster.

For a commune of 60 people:

• There would be at least 50 chickens.
• There would have to be some chicken identification system; not all workers will sight-recognize all chickens.
• This would require a dedicated structure, designed to require minimal climate control.
• This would require a dedicated system manager 💡 ( and an understudy to the manager) , as well as dedicated daily work-shifts 💡 ( feeding, egg-collecting, and cleaning tasks) .
• Chicken feed would have to be secured on an industrial scale.
• A standard city water connection would be sufficient.
• The waste disposal might be done via a standard sewer system.
• The chickens would probably be eaten after 36-48 months.
