I have a trek to reach the state of Nevada. A three-day's journey, at least. Possibly five, with stops in Omaha, Cheyenne, Salt Lake City, and Reno.
But, there is the question of "when to reach the Gate".
⚙️ Burning Man is notorious for having a several-hour backlog to get from Gerlach to Black Rock City. The capacity of the event is largely based on the maximum throughput of the various bottlenecks.
If I am going to walk-in camping, and I arrive at night, I may have to wait until sunrise to claim a spot and unload.
But, that may be the best option. Arrive at 6PM, and after the inevitable hours-long traffic jam, park by 10PM.
💡 It is better to sleep days in the desert anyhow.
