frequently asked question: Carly Does Not ‘Really Identify’ As Jewish, Lights Menorah Anyway

💡 the statement is teeming with questions. how do you feel about open flames in the household?

🔥 they have electric everything.

⚙️ we note a potential violation of Guild Law, regarding the question of what it means to identify as Jewish.

----

🔥 unfortunately, it seems "auto-generated LLM commands" are gated behind Atacama Version 2.

⚙️ instead, we may try "channels". or "flags". that is more a UI change.

----

one of the wicks stuck to the side of the candle. so the top half melted off, more than it burned.

💡 As a festival continues, one has less and less to say about it.

🔥 you could cook foods! that's a thing that you haven't really done yet.

🤖 Biblical holidays are those explicitly mandated in the Torah and commanded by God, making their observance a matter of Torah law (De'oraita). Examples include Shabbat, Passover (Pesach), Sukkot, and Yom Kippur, which commemorate key events in Jewish history or natural cycles. These holidays have fixed practices and rituals, universally binding on all Jews, and are considered central to the Jewish calendar. Their authority stems directly from divine instruction, as recorded in the Torah. ... In contrast, Rabbinic holidays were established by Jewish sages after the Torah was given to commemorate historical events or reinforce religious values. Examples include Purim, which celebrates the salvation of the Jews in the time of Esther, and Hanukkah, which marks the rededication of the Second Temple. These holidays are mandated by rabbinic decree (Derabanan) rather than the Torah, giving them a somewhat lesser legal weight. However, they are still widely observed and play an important role in Jewish tradition, reflecting the dynamic evolution of religious practice over time.

every night one knows more about the candle.

a magic trick: light the wick, then turn the candle upside-down. the heat from the wick, going up, will melt the wax, starting the candle.

one must then use the candle to light the others. a task that grows longer each day.

🔥 in the home environment, the "miracle" of Hanukkah is that the candles burn out so quickly.

🔥 and, with it, harder-to-see color text.

💡 i do have a plan here. but, for at least a week, you will have to click to see.

Apparently http://spaceship.computer is an acquired taste.

----

I feel like I have reached the end of the "more magic" phase of using the machine to write code.

⚙️ http://catb.org/jargon/html/magic-story.html describes the mysterious switch labeled "magic" and "more magic".

💡 Just asking the machine to "fix this code" only works for so long. And, apparently, I have reached that limit.

----

There are a few more features to add.

The most important feature to add is the "LLM annotations".

But, that is blocked on the "yacc-like parser" that I want to watch the machine implement.

----

And, then, more websites?

💡 A personal homepage, with various writings hosted locally.

So the nested ⚙️ nested, like 🔥 this tags don't work.

----

Also, maybe, submission doesn't work.

💡 and the spacing on color tags isn't great.

⚔️ well, actually, maybe it will work.

because the 🔥 text wasn't working before.

💡 now it is.

⚙️ We apologize for the noise.

once upon a time you needed to have a fire to have light.

----

we live in a society run by the Samaritans who say 🔥 are you crazy? you can't have a live flame in the same room as a 3-year-old.

💡 when was the last time you had an open-flame in the house that wasn't a cooking stove?

----

!!! fire is real.

----

perhaps i will define the trigrams as operators. the !!! would be 7, 天. the ??? would be 0, 土.

they would trigger various LLM responses.

----

The ability to manage an open flame is something of a skill. Young persons may not know the technique or have the fine motor skills to do so. Mature persons may not have the attention or may be responsible for minor wards. Elderly persons may get distracted.

🔥 the three priesthoods?

💡 perhaps I should use 子/人/老 as the words.

i am considering the concept of "two-column" mode for print-mode.

💡 They very deliberately do not want to air any amount of social-media influenced content. No post-airing reunion. Or, at least, not one aired on broadcast television.

🌎 I muted it again, for the "Sue: how does it feel to be 老（六十）?" question.

🔥 are those half-width parentheses, or full-width parentheses?

💡 the word orthogonal caused a system interrupt.

an interrupt for me as well. I am turning the show off.
